Sectors
The main objective of the project is to establish business councils in Bulgaria and Greece, covering 9 priority sectors.
The agro-industry sector covers all producers whose field of activity is related to agricultural activity: grain production (milling, baking, confectionery), meat and dairy products, fruit, vegetables, spices, including livestock.
The food industry sector covers all producers and traders whose field of activity is related to the production of food and beverages - bakery, confectionery, meat and dairy products, fruits, vegetables, spices, including animal husbandry, as well as commercial establishments trading in food products.
The waste management sector covers the collection, transport, processing or disposal, management and control of waste materials.
With regard to those employed in this field of management, it is important to note that it is becoming more and more popular in Bulgaria. Its scope includes wind energy, solar energy, hydropower, ocean energy, geothermal energy, biomass and biofuels.
At the national level, the tourism sector has great potential for development. Located at a crossroads connecting East and West for millennia, Bulgaria has been home to many civilizations, including Thracians, Romans, Byzantines, Slavs, ancient Bulgarians, and Ottomans. The country has an abundance of historical and natural landmarks, museums and monasteries, scattered over a relatively small but transport-easily accessible territory.
Everything related to the health sector concerns the protection of human health through prevention, diagnosis, therapy of diseases and injuries as well as other physical and mental disabilities in humans.
The Materials sector covers the extraction and processing of raw materials and minerals, logging, mining. The sector brings together the production and processing of materials that are vital to humans and human society, and is therefore crucial for improving the quality of life in the border areas.
The Technology sector covers the processing of raw materials and minerals, logging, mining into finished products. The sector processes materials that are vital to humans and human society, and is therefore critical to improving the quality of life in frontier areas.
The textile industry is a branch of light industry in which yarn, threads and fabrics are produced through the processing of plant, artificial and synthetic textile fibers.
