The textile industry is a branch of the light industry in which yarns, threads and fabrics are produced by processing vegetable, man-made and synthetic textile fibres. The raw material may be of either natural or artificial origin. Bulgaria has the foundations for the development of the textile industry. Representatives of this industry are the producers and traders of fibres, yarns, fabrics, leathers, including manufacturers of clothing and footwear of all kinds.
