On 25.08.2023, a meeting of the Business Council in the Waste Management Sector was held at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki on the shortage of trained personnel in the industry, with a particular focus on skilled forklift drivers. The meeting was attended by 15 people on site and 5 online via Zoom.
The main topics of the discussion included the opportunities for training seminars for staff development, as well as potential cooperation with Bulgarian companies from the same sector and opportunities for cross-industry partnerships.

Emphasis was placed on the potential for cooperation between Greek and Bulgarian enterprises, including joint projects, exchange of best practices and building stronger trade links between the two countries. Furthermore, opportunities for cross-industry cooperation that could promote innovation and efficiency in different industrial sectors were explored.
