The second day of the meeting in Xanthi with the technology sector continued, with the focus of the day's discussion on blockchain technology, presented by Mr. Pliakoyannis, who stressed the importance of networking and collaboration, especially with similar companies in Bulgaria.
The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of blockchain technology, highlighting its applications and potential benefits for businesses. A presentation was also made on similar companies in Bulgaria, highlighting the value of networking and collaborative partnerships to drive innovation and growth in the technology sector. Attendees engaged in discussions about continuing the meetings in Xanthi, believing it was appropriate as a central location for attendees, especially those with research commitments in the area over the summer. It was unanimously agreed that Xanthi would be an ideal location for future meetings, with the possibility of live streaming via Zoom to accommodate remote attendees.
Additionally, discussions focused on the challenges facing the Greek technology business sector, particularly the lack of technology adoption among traditional small businesses. Participants recognized the need for a concerted effort to bridge this gap and improve technology literacy and integration across industries.
Moving forward, participants promised to continue exploring opportunities for cooperation with companies in Bulgaria and other regions. Plans were also made to initiate efforts to promote technology adoption among traditional small businesses, including educational initiatives and support programs.
