A regular meeting was held in the Agro-Food Sector

On 12.11.2022 in the town of. A regular meeting of the Business Council in the Agro-Food Sector was held in Blagoevgrad on 12 2022. The meeting was held in Hall 1 of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Blagoevgrad. The meeting was held at the Economic and Industrial Council of the Industrial and Commercial Chamber of Blagoevgrad. The meeting was technically equipped with multimedia, laptop, printer, microphone(s) and sound system, as well as information boards, banner and presentation materials according to the requirements of the Communication and Publicity Manual of the Interreg V/A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020 Programme. In addition, disinfectants as well as water, coffee and tea were provided to secure the coffee break of the event. The sector representatives from the border regions of Haskovo, Kardzhali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan were eight. The discussion focused on the wine producers in Bulgaria and the lack of working capital and the neglect of the sector by the institutions. In addition, the emergency situations (the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, etc.) that the winemakers are going through are increasing the costs of processing the wineries and the costs of materials - glass, paper, packaging, labels, corks, respectively the prices of the final product are increasing for the end consumer. The participants in the Council suggested that local authorities should be asked about the measures being taken to develop the wine sector.
