The discussion focused in the context of the new amendments to the Energy Act, which provide for the exit of green energy producers on the regulated exchange market from January 1, 2019, which in turn change the conditions for investors. One of the attending members of BS pointed out that this change is made without the consent of the companies and in practice the existing contracts under which investors have made their investments are amended. Another representative added that so far investors in RES have not been exposed to market risk in terms of price – "Our exchange is relatively illiquid, quite volatile, the participation of renewable energy is likely to further increase volatility. This creates a real market risk for investors." The participants in the meeting asked for a joint meeting to be organized with the representatives of the responsible institutions to receive additional clarifications and proposals to supplement the law.
