Regular meeting of the Business Council in the Agro-Food Sector was held

The meeting was held on 03.12.2022 at 12:00 in Sofia. Blagoevgrad. The present representatives of the sector from the border regions of Haskovo, Kardzhali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan were six. The hall for the meeting was provided technically and was equipped – multimedia, laptop computer, printer, as well as information boards, banner and presentation materials, according to the requirements of the Guide for Communication and Publicity of the Interreg V/A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020 Program. In addition, disinfectants were provided, as well as water, coffee and tea to ensure the coffee break of the event.

The discussion that started on the current BS was regarding the insurance of producers' production. This topic was raised by a member of the council, whose production in a previous period was completely destroyed as a result of heavy rainfall. Unfortunately, very few manufacturers in the sector insure themselves. In reality, the production insure mainly the large producers, and for the smaller ones there is no such practice. The Business Council therefore decided to take action to cooperate with the Disaster and Accident Commissions of the regional administrations in order to organize information campaigns to be attended by representatives of various insurance companies to make suggestions to those concerned.
