A regular meeting of the Tourism Business Council was held
The second meeting of the Business Council in the Tourism sector took place on 19.05.2023 in the town of. The meeting was held on the 20th of May, 202020 on the island of Thassos. The meeting was attended by 16 representatives of the tourism sector and was organized by the association "Development of culture tourism environment" - DE. CU.T.E. under the project "Business Council - BC 6275" funded by the INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 Programme, Subsidy contract №B6.3a.18/13.04.2021.
The aim of the meeting was to explore opportunities for cooperation between the Greek and Bulgarian businesses to improve the training of staff in the tourism sector. Participants engaged in discussions on how businesses in Greece and Bulgaria can cooperate to improve staff training in the tourism sector. Ideas included joint training programmes, exchange visits and sharing best practices.
The meeting focused on identifying specific projects that could benefit from cross-border cooperation. Participants discussed potential projects in areas such as hospitality management, customer service training and cultural exchange programmes. Strategies for effective staff training were explored, including the use of modern training methods, online platforms and partnerships with educational institutions. Emphasis was placed on the importance of regional cooperation in the tourism sector. Participants discussed the potential benefits of forming regional networks and alliances to promote tourism and share resources.
The meeting concluded with the participants' commitment to explore further opportunities for cooperation between the businesses in Greece and Bulgaria. Action points were identified, including the creation of a working group to develop joint training initiatives and coordinate future meetings and workshops.
