Participants engaged in a focused discussion on the following key topics:
Cooperation with other regions: participants explored opportunities for cooperation with other regions of Greece and Bulgaria. Discussions revolved around identifying common challenges faced by energy companies in these regions and how they can use collaborative partnerships to collectively address these challenges.
Identifying common issues: The meeting included an analysis of common issues faced by energy companies in Greece and Bulgaria, such as regulatory complexities, market uncertainty and infrastructure constraints. Participants shared insights and experiences to identify areas where mutual support and cooperation could be beneficial.
Legislative system analysis: A detailed analysis of the legislative systems governing the energy sector in Bulgaria and Greece was carried out. Participants compared and contrasted regulatory frameworks, incentives and policies in the two countries to identify areas of alignment and divergence.
Mutual Support Opportunities: Attendees explored opportunities for mutual support and cooperation, including sharing best practices, technology transfer, joint research and development initiatives, and advocacy for favourable regulatory reforms.
