A regular meeting of the Business Council in the RES sector was held

On 07.04.2023 at 16:00 in the town of. The regular meeting of the Business Council in the sector of renewable and energy sources in the border regions of Blagoevgrad, Haskovo, Kardzhali and Smolyan was held in Kardzhali, the activity is implemented under the project "Business Council - BC 6275" funded by the INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 Programme, Subsidy contract № B6.3a.18/13.04.2021.

Six representatives of the RES sector from the border regions of Haskovo, Kardzhali, Blagoevgrad and Smolyan attended the meeting. The Business Council meeting started on time in attendance mode. The meeting was held in the hall of the association "Europe in Dialogue" in the town of. The meeting was held in the hall of the Dialogue in Europe. The hall was technically equipped with multimedia, laptop, printer, as well as information boards, banner and presentation materials, according to the requirements of the Communication and Publicity Manual of the Interreg V/A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020 Programme. The moderator of the event welcomed all attendees and kicked off the event by making a short diversion to introduce the new members and brief information regarding the Rules of Procedure of the BS in the RES sector.

Once again, the main topic of the free discussion was the energy crisis in Europe and the consequences of the shortage of natural gas due to the war in Ukraine and the restrictions imposed by Russia.

This is one of the main reasons for the record growth in net profit and operating income in the renewable energy sector.

The dynamism in the sector is setting a new peak, where attendees hope that investment activity in the sector will grow.

It follows from the above that a new market niche will open up, namely the production of parts and components needed for the renewable energy industry.

Attendees at the meeting called for a meeting with local authorities to discuss legislative frameworks in the sector and how they could be improved so that small and medium business owners remain competitive with large businesses.
