Study on entrepreneurship and cooperation in the tourism sector in Cafe Aparto, Kavala

On 23 June 2023, a meeting of the Business Council in the sustainable tourism sector was held at Cafe Aparto, Kavala, organized by the association "Development of culture tourism environment" - DE. CU.T.E. under the project "Business Council - BC 6275", funded by the INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 Programme, Subsidy contract №B6.3a.18/13.04.2021. The event continued the discussion on key issues facing the tourism sector, focusing on entrepreneurship, industry challenges and opportunities for cooperation between hotels in Greece and travel agents in Bulgaria.

The meeting was attended by five people on site and seven online. Ms. Zervaki, the session facilitator, provided information on the entrepreneurial aspects of the tourism industry, emphasizing the need for innovative business models, customer-centric approaches, and adaptability to market dynamics. Participants discussed strategies to promote entrepreneurship in the sector.

Attendees engaged in a candid conversation about the challenges facing the tourism sector, including seasonality, infrastructure constraints and regulatory hurdles. Ms. Zervaki moderated discussions on potential solutions and options to address these challenges.

The session highlighted the benefits of cooperation between hotels in Greece and travel agents in Bulgaria. Participants explored opportunities for joint marketing initiatives, package offers and cross-border promotions to attract tourists and improve the overall visitor experience.

Ms Zervaki reiterated the importance of networking and knowledge sharing within the Business Council project. Participants discussed the potential for sharing best practices, market analysis and resources to strengthen the competitiveness of the tourism sector in both countries.

The business council meeting at Cafe Aparto, Kavala, provided attendees with a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship, industry challenges and opportunities for collaboration in the tourism sector. Participants left with practical guidance and a renewed spirit of collaboration to tackle common challenges and seize opportunities for growth.
