
Study on innovation in the tourism sector in Cafe Aparto, Kavala
On 22 June 2023, a Sustainable Tourism Business Council meeting was held at Cafe Aparto, Kavala, which provided a platform for stakeholders in the tourism sector to gain insight into the importance of innovation and continuous improvement. The Business Council meeting was organized by the association "Development of culture tourism environment" - DE. CU.T.E. under the project "Business Council - BC 6275" funded by the INTERREG V/A GREECE-BULGARIA 2014-2020 Programme, Subsidy contract №B6.3a.18/13.04.2021. Ms. Zervaki, an experienced project manager from Thessaloniki, conducted three Business Council meetings focusing on innovation, market needs and the benefits of networking through the Business Council project.
- Understanding Market Needs: Participants delved into the importance of understanding market needs and trends in order to tailor product and service offerings accordingly. Ms. Zervaki highlighted the importance of market research, customer feedback and data analysis in identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Continuous Improvement and Adaptation: the Business Council meetings emphasized the idea that maintaining a prime location alone is not enough for sustainable success in the tourism industry. Continuous improvement and adaptation to changing market dynamics are essential for long-term viability. Ms. Zervaki shared ideas for strategies for continuous improvement and adaptation.
- Networking through the Business Council project: participants discussed how networking within the Business Council project facilitates cooperation and knowledge exchange between tourism enterprises in Greece and Bulgaria. Using knowledge from similar businesses and industry colleagues allows participants to be informed about best practices and emerging trends.
- The business council meetings at Cafe Aparto, Kavala, provided attendees with valuable insights into the importance of innovation, market understanding and continuous improvement in the tourism sector.
