For the Council
In the conditions of the worst energy crisis in recent years, the consequences of the war in Ukraine and the restoration of normal life after the Covid pandemic, the agri-food sector is facing increasing difficulties in the preservation and cultivation of quality products, as well as its marketing.
The council's work addresses different aspects of the issues discussed and how local authorities could help to resolve them. The meetings discussed the unfavourable terms offered by insurance companies to landlords and the mechanisms through which local authorities could influence to lighten procedures.
The high cost of electricity and securing production, the import of nitrogen fertilizers and the lack of manpower are the most frequently discussed problems.
The project management team, together with the members of the council, seeks a solution to the most pressing problems and works actively, with the assistance of local authorities, to solve them.
